Melville Open Studios is a community-based event where Creatives, living and working within the City of Melville, open up their studios, galleries, creative spaces and popup hubs to the public.
Our annual event invites the public to see Creatives at work, engage with the process and of course purchase directly from the Artists themselves. It is a wonderful opportunity for Artists to connect with their local community, find their customers and introduce their current body of work to new audiences and current customers. Melville Open Studios 2025 saw a staggering combined Artists sales of over $100,000, go directly to the Artists.
The event was lovingly nurtured by the Arts and Cultural Development Officers at the City of Melville from 2017 to 2021. In 2022, Melville Open Studios transitioned to being run by a coordinator and committee of creatives, and proudly supported by the City.
Every year the event grows and 2025 was no exception, with more Artists, locations and return of the highly successful bus tours. The tours will offer a selection of different routes to ALL locations. Details and how to book a seat for the tours will be found on this website closer to the 2026 dates.
Melville Open Studios 2026 coordinator, mixed media artist Jennifer Gaye, who has been working on the event since 2022 is supported by the City of Melville and itβs wonderful and ever-growing sponsors, including Morgan of Feld & Co.
Please note that some studios are private residences and may not have wheelchair access. For more information, please email hello@melvilleopen studios.com
